The Meade Middle School music department will present the premiere performance of the Meade Middle School Alma Mater at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the school, 1103 26th St. on the Fort George G. Meade campus.

The Alma Mater is the first of its kind in the county. All musical selections were written by John B. Collins, a retired county music teacher, with the help of Meade Middle students Alesha Barreca and Samantha Fortner.

Also Allison Kuta, the school's art teacher, worked with Collins and guided several art students in creating a painting to express what the school means to Alma Mater.
