A final vote on whether to allow a casino in Anne Arundel County has now been pushed to at least July, but Monday night marked the first legislative action since the local debate began in March. The County Council adopted two amendments to the zoning bill that would allow slot machines at Arundel Mills mall. Neither change would halt the proposed 200,000-square-foot gaming and entertainment complex, but they would ensure that enough parking spaces would be built and that any future casinos could be built only on large tracts of land.
