CINCINNATI, Ohio - An Ohio man who served decades in prison for the murder of a student from Anne Arundel County is set to be released next month.

Wendell Drake was convicted in the 1972 slaying of Xavier University freshman Thomas Jenkins of Pasadena during a robbery in a recreation room.

Andrea Carson, a spokeswoman for the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, said that Draje has served more than 30 years in prison.

Drake was originally released in 2003, then was returned to prison after violating his parole by leaving the state to go to Georgia. He will be on parole for five years.
