| Brooklyn Park: Girls on the Run exceeds fundraising goal

Brooklyn Park Elementary School's Girls on the Run program collected 154 pairs of pajamas for Kami's Jammies as part of their service project. That exceeded their goal by 54 pairs. As part of the program's requirements, the girls created posters, wrote announcements and collected the pajamas for boys and girls from their classrooms daily, counselor Aileen Selznick wrote in an e-mail. They also sought contributions from businesses, friends and families. The girls presented the pajamas and a $150 check to Debi Katzenberger, a representative from the Casey Cares Foundation, with which Kami's Jammies is affiliated,... This story has expired!
