Linthicum Heights United Methodist Church, 200 School Lane, will honor its members who will be graduating from high school or college with special recognition at the 11 a.m. worship service on June 8.
High school and college students who will be graduating this spring will be recognized and receive a gift from the church. After the service, graduates and their families are invited to attend a brunch in their honor.
Church officials ask that the graduates contact them and let them know how many family members will be attending the brunch. Also, to include accurate information in the church bulletin, the organizers ask graduates to provide in their response: their name; the high school or college from which they are graduating; for high school graduates, their plans; and honors or scholarships they received in school.

The church will host a "Kick Off Summer" picnic after the 11 a.m. worship service on May 18. The picnic will be sponsored by members of the contemporary worship service.
The final spring meeting of the United Methodist Men will take place at 6:30 p.m. May 21. The Rev. Don Llewellyn will lead the program, which is based on his sailing trips between Maryland and New England.

Crestwood yard sale
The Crestwood Improvement Association will host its annual community yard sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 17.
Proceeds from the sale benefit the association which oversees the neighborhood at Hammonds Ferry and Ardmore roads.
The yard sale will feature a food table with hot dogs, soda and chips for sale. The Crestwood Homemakers will sponsor a table selling baked goods. The food tables will be placed along Ardmore Road between Madingley and Sudbury roads.

Flea market
Friendship Church of the Brethren, 217 Mansion Road, will host a flea market from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 7.
Tables for the rain-or-shine event will rent for $10.
Organizers of the sale are looking for volunteers to publicize the event, set up tables and clean up afterward. They also are looking for baked goods and merchandise that is in good condition to sell.

The church is accepting registrations for its vacation Bible school, which will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon July 7 to 11. The theme this year is "rainforest adventure."

The church also is accepting registrations for its cooperative nursery school year for the fall. To attend, children must be either ages 3 or 4 by Sept. 1.
The class for 3-year-olds meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The class for 4-year-olds meets on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Classes are held from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
