Old Mill High School, 600 Patriot Lane, has a busy week planned with spring concerts and end-of-school-year shows.
The art department will present its Art Attack Week, featuring various artwork by students from all grades. The show will be in the media center from 7:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Parents, relatives and the general public may view the art presentation at a special Meet the Artist reception at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The National Art Honor Society Induction ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday after the reception. The exhibit will include drawings, paintings, sculptures, crafts, photography, design and digital artwork.
Eight students' artwork was recently displayed at the Quiet Waters Park visitor's center gallery. The artists were Chuck Jones, Lisa Fritts, Dennis Harrison, Alvaro Martinez, Alexandria Gill, Monica Fenton, Maggie Neiss and Brittany Luby.
Artwork from 10 Old Mill High seniors will be displayed at Anne Arundel Community College during the Senior Art Show in the Cade Gallery through May 23. The students are Jason Anderson, Nick Carter, Gina Giampaolo, Chuck Jones, Renee Lind, Brittany Luby, Michelle Martir, Maggie Neiss, Luke Seward and Jessica Thomas.
The steel drum and guitar concert will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the auditorium.
The orchestra, concert and jazz band concert will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The vocal ensemble and chorus concert will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Pre-K registrations
Baldwin Church Child Care Center is accepting registrations for its full-time preschool classes.
Parents can register children ages 3 to 5 for summer or fall programs. The center hours are 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
The center is located at 921 Generals Highway on the same property as Baldwin Memorial United Methodist Church.

Fall enrollment
Elvaton Christian Academy at 8422 Elvaton Road is holding open enrollment for classes beginning in the fall.
Enrollment for the 2008-09 school year is open to students ages 2 through grade eight. The preschool program offers 2-year-old classes from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays; 3-year-old classes from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; and 4-year-old classes from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The 4-year-old class is also offered as a five-day program from 9 to 11:30 a.m. or 12:30 to 3 p.m.
Students in kindergarten through eighth-grade attend from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The school offers before-school care beginning at 7 a.m. and after-school care until 6 p.m. for students in kindergarten through eighth-grade.

Open registration
Maryland Church on the Rock Christian Academy at 648 Old Mill Road is accepting applications for the 2008-09 school year.
The school is now forming a new 3-year-old program scheduled to begin next school year. Additional classes are available for students age 4 entering pre-kindergarten as well as for students in kindergarten through 12th grades.

Kids art fair
Millersville Elementary School, 1601 Millersville Road, will present its kids art fair from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the multipurpose room.
The family event will showcase every student's art in a gallery-style frame. Framed original artwork created by students in kindergarten through fifth-grade will be available for parents to purchase. Funds raised will support the art education program at the school.

Friends meeting
The Friends of Kinder Farm Park's monthly meeting will be held at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at the comfort station classroom.
