Prostate cancer is the most common solid organ cancer in men with around 200,000 diagnoses and over 30,000 deaths per year.

In the United States, there are more men diagnosed with prostate cancer each year than with colon cancer or lung cancer. Due to screening tests, such as the blood test Prostate Specific Antigen, more of these tumors are found when localized to the prostate and thus are potentially curable.

With appropriate treatment, nearly 100 percent of men diagnosed with the cancer confined to the prostate will survive at least five years. Treatment options for these men include radiation therapy, brachytherapy...
