A medieval marriage

Like most grooms, Tim Zulauf of Pasadena had plenty of concerns on his wedding day.

Would he be able to get into all his armor? Should he wear the helmet during the ceremony, or hold it by his side?

Well, maybe not most grooms.

Mr. Zulauf and his fiancee, Shannon Cary, tied the knot last month in full costume at the Maryland Renaissance Festival in Crownsville.

Not one for a tuxedo, Mr. Zulauf was clad in more than 40 pounds and almost 20 pieces of custom-made black and green leather armor. Ms. Cary, now Mrs. Zulauf, wore a matching green and black medieval-styled velvet dress.
