Maddie Koch could only hold on for so long.

Broadneck's All-County goalkeeper repeatedly turned away a relentless attack, but Hannah Balleza scored twice in the second half to carry Severna Park to a 3-1 victory Monday in a battle of the last two unbeaten teams in Anne Arundel County.

Koch made nine saves, and Meghan Eshleman scored eight minutes into the second half to put Broadneck (6-1-1) in control, but Severna Park answered immediately and capitalized on each defensive lapse.

"The first half, they couldn't get a shot in," Koch said. "Their attack is amazing."
