Glen Burnie West: Kick-a-thon to raise money to treat Alzheimer's patients

A.J. Bartlinski's Karate School will sponsor its fourth annual "Kick-a-thon" at 1 p.m. Oct. 11 at the karate school, 302 N. Crain Highway.

Proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of Evelyn Bartlinski. Mrs. Bartlinksi died four years ago after battling the debilitating disease.

Students will collect pledges for the number of kicks they can make in an hour, and donations will be accepted. Co-owner Al Bartlinski Jr. expects 50 to 60 kids to participate in the benefit being held in his mother's honor.
