In the Sept. 10 Maryland Gazette, developer Mitch Weber was reported as requesting the county to help finance the Crosswinds Resort and Conference Center in Linthicum. His request for nearly $63 million in economic aid from the county is over twice the amount that has been previously requested from any developer. This project should not receive any economic aid from county government. The project will likely not provide the economic boom promised and will likely become more of a burden than a benefit.
